Nexus privacy policy

Effective October 18, 2026. Nexus Generator LLC operates Nexus at thenexusof.ai and its iOS client.

Information Nexus uses

When you sign in with ChatGPT, the hosting service supplies an account identifier, email address and, when available, your name. Nexus stores your profile, workspaces, agents, messages, files, generated content, settings, usage records and payment entitlements to provide the features you choose. Connected-provider credentials are encrypted on the server and are not returned to the browser.

AI and connected services

AI features send the requests, relevant conversation context and selected attachments to the model or service provider chosen for that feature. Depending on your selection and connections, these can include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and other providers shown in Nexus. Voice, media generation, remote browsing and connected tools may send the data needed for those operations to their respective services. Provider names and connections are visible in the model selector and Settings. Provider retention and use are governed by the provider’s terms and your account configuration. Avoid sending information you do not want processed by that provider.

The iOS client asks for permission before enabling AI data sharing. You can review your choice in Settings → Account. Declining stops new AI requests for your account after the native client has registered your preference. Nexus does not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.

Sharing and payments

Posts, profiles, apps and listings you publish can be visible to other users. Direct and group messages and attached files are available to their recipients; they are not advertised as end-to-end encrypted. Card or crypto checkout is processed by the payment service shown at checkout. Apple purchases are processed by Apple. Nexus stores transaction identifiers and entitlements; it does not receive your full payment card number.

Device access

Camera and microphone access is requested when you use the corresponding feature. iOS controls those permissions. The optional native device lock uses Apple’s local authentication; Nexus does not receive biometric templates. The iOS client stores website session data and local preferences on the device. Diagnostic/error logs may include technical request details needed to investigate failures.

Storage and retention

Nexus uses its hosting, database and object-storage infrastructure to store account data. Active account data remains until you remove it or delete the account. Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Nexus account. Your account is disabled while retryable cleanup removes private workspace data and stored files. Public contributions are removed or anonymized. Other participants’ messages, shared group structure and necessary transaction or collective governance records may retain a deleted-account reference. A minimal deletion record prevents an old sign-in or background job from recreating the account. Already shared copies held by recipients or independent providers cannot be deleted by Nexus. Infrastructure backups and operational logs follow the hosting providers’ retention processes rather than an instant per-record purge.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, remove files/content, disconnect providers and request deletion. Deleting the account does not cancel Apple-billed subscriptions; manage those through Apple. Nexus-managed recurring subscriptions are canceled before account deletion begins. For access, correction, export, privacy questions or help with deletion, use the Nexus support form. Nexus is not intended for children under 13.
